Reach-Ahead Credits
A “reach-ahead” credit, ‘Grade 9 Mathematics’ (MTH1W) is available to students who have been admitted into the reach ahead mathematics program.
Under exceptional circumstances, an individual student in Grade 8, with written parental consent, may be given permission by the Principal of the Senior School to “reach ahead” to take secondary school courses, either during the school year or in the summer prior to entering Grade 9.
A record is kept in the OSR Documentation file indicating the “reach-ahead” course(s) that the student is enrolled in. These credits count toward the OSSD and are recorded on the Ontario Student Transcript (OST).
